History made, 100,000 Coldplay tickets sold out in Singapore
People just can’t get enough of Coldplay, can’t they?
Guess what? The tickets for Coldplay’s second show in Singapore which were just launched this morning are all sold out – nada!
When organiser Live Nation Lushington launched the tickets for the first show – 1 April 2017 – it was sold out in the blink of an eye – 40,000 tickets sold in less than two hours.
So, to meet the overwhelming demands of fans, the organiser and the band decided to hold a second show in the country - 31 March 2017 – and launched 60,000 more tickets – but that got sold out in a flash too just earlier today!
This is what they said on their official Facebook page:-
History Made; 100,000 Tickets SOLD OUT!
Thank you for your amazing support and patience. We would like to thank all Singapore and regional fans for making such a landmark event in Singapore’s concert history!
Live Nation Lushington launched ticket sales for the second-announced, Friday 31 March show at 10:00am today and also released additional standing inventory plus restricted views seats for the Saturday 1 April show. There were over 1,500 people queuing at the National Stadium main box office, with many having waited since yesterday morning to have an opportunity to get the best seats.
Coldplay, Singapore Sports Hub and Live Nation Lushington are thrilled and proud to announce that both shows are Sold Out.
We look forward to seeing the fans at the shows and welcoming Coldplay to Singapore very soon!
So to the fans that are still unable to purchase tickets, maybe you guys can try Bangkok as the band recently added the show to their upcoming Asian tour.
Tickets for the Bangkok leg will go on sale on 16 December 2016 on thaiticketmajor.com, so make sure you mark your calendars!
