Update: Rockaway MotoGP Weekend merge into a one-day affair

UPDATED 21 October 2016: The Livescape Group has announced that the Rockaway Malaysia MotoGP Weekend shows which was originally meant to be a two-day affair, will now merge into a one-day explosive rock festival on 29 October 2016 at B Hillstand, Sepang International Circuit.

Due to scheduling conflicts, Scorpions, Wolfmother, The Darkness, Wings, and Muzza’s Mayhem will now share the stage while the venue remains unchanged.

“We have decided to merge the two-day festival to just a one-day event due to a scheduling and production conflict with one of the headlining acts. However, this may well be a blessing in disguise as our fans ultimately benefit from this. With the merger of both shows, single-day ticket holders will now also be able to catch more international acts on a single billing”, said Rahul Kukreja, Director of Live Events of The Livescape Group.

The highly-anticipated Malaysian rock music festival Rockaway has added The Darkness, Oh Chentaku, Deja Voodoo Spells feat. Bumblefoot, and the 11 Piece Book of Spells orchestra to the Rockaway Malaysia MotoGP Weekend.

Rock band Oh Chentaku who gained fame via the hit reality TV program “Versus” in 2013 will have the honour in sharing the stage with legendary German rock band Scorpions, local legend Wings and Muzza’s Mayhem on Day 1.

Meanwhile, British glam metal band The Darkness, local three-piece band Deja Voodoo Spells featuring guitar expert and award winning multi-instrumentalist Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal, as well as 11 Piece Book of Spells orchestra will be joining the likes of Aussie hard rock band Wolfmother, and regional acts such as WTNSS, Daarchlea, and Artefacts.

The Rockaway Malaysia MotoGP Weekend is a two-day event held at Sepang International Circuit on 29 and 30 October 2016, while the one-day The Saga Continues event will be held on 19 November at the Extreme Park, Bukit Jalil.

The Saga Continues will feature 20 more outstanding acts from Malaysia, America and the region, some of them include; Third Eye Blind, Taking Back Sunday, The Get Up Kids, Butterfingers, Alleycats, One Buck Short, The Changchuters, Dirgahayu, Pitahati, Hujan x OAG and more.
