“One Piece” run heading to Singapore next month
Calling out all the Otaku! Be prepared to experience the first ever anime themed fun run in Singapore this March, as the super popular Japanese manga and anime series, “One Piece” will take over the country for the inaugural One Piece Run 2016.
Get ready to run and have fun with the main stars from “One Piece” like Monkey D. Luffy, Nami, Sanji, Roronoa Zoro, Tony Tony Chopper and more at the Kallang Practice Track on 6 March 2016.
According to SuperAdrianneMe, Singapore is the second Asian country to host the run after Taiwan One Piece Run in 2015 where 12,000 participants had taken part.
“One Piece” manga has had over 320 million copies printed worldwide, making it the best-selling manga series in history.
The story follows Luffy and his friends as they embark on an exciting voyage full of danger in search of the ultimate treasure, One Piece.
The 5km fun run aims to unite both runners and anime fans over a run course that takes them through different experiential zones that are created based on “One Piece’s” storyline.
Each participant will be entitled to an exclusive “One Piece” themed t-shirt, towel, runner’s bib, finisher medal, water bottle and a drawstring bag!
