Veteran rock band Chicago to rock Malaysia
Veteran American rock band Chicago is set to return to Malaysia after four years, marking their second visit to Malaysia this 18 January 2016 at Mega Star Arena.
Being one of the longest-running and most successful rock bands, as well as one of the world’s best-selling groups of all time, Chicago is the first American rock band to chart under the Top 40 albums in six decades having sold more than 100 million records.
The Grammy award-winning band comes in second after The Beach Boys in Billboard singles and album chart success. They have sold over 40 million album units in the U.S., with 23 gold, 18 platinum and 8 multi-platinum albums.
The band last played in Malaysia back in 2012 at the KL Convention Centre. In 1994, the band was banned from coming to Malaysia as some of the members had long hair. However, the banned was lifted several years later, Free Malaysia Today reports.
Despite their age, the band never missed a single concert date and is now on their 48th consecutive year of touring!
Die-hard fans of the band can expect to listen some of their greatest evergreen hits like, “Make Me Smile”, “Hard to Say I’m Sorry”, “You’re the Inspiration”, “I Don’t Wanna Live Without Your Love”, “If You Leave Me Now” and more.
