Inaugural Soulfest Asia postponed to December
The upcoming Soulfest Asia which was scheduled to take place this weekend, 17 October 2015, has been postponed tentatively to December.
According to the official statement by Soulnation Asia, the organisation is unable to secure the headline artistes planned for Soulfest Asia, which means Mary J Blige, Jhene Aiko, De La Soul and Talib Kweli will not be coming for the inaugural Soulfest Asia in Malaysia.
“We are very saddened by the inability of our company to secure the headline artistes for Soulfest Asia as originally planned and have deprived fans of the festival line up that was promised — we apologise for this chain of events,” said a spokesperson from Soulfest International Australia.
Soulnation Asia further added:-
“We at Soulnation Asia have fulfilled all obligations and commitments to the acts, including obtaining the proper licensing and permits. This decision was not made lightly, as we understand the disappointment this will cause. However, we believe it is imperative that we deliver a world-class festival and an exceptional experience to festival goers. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.”For those who would like to have a refund for their tickets, visit soulfestasia.com starting from Tuesday, 13 October 2015 onwards.
