Trailer for HBO’s “Halfworlds” starring Bront is out

HBO Asia has finally unveiled the trailer for its long-awaited original series “Halfworlds”, starring Malaysia’s very own top actor Bront Palarae alongside an ensemble cast of leading Indonesian actors like Arifin Putra, Aimee Saras, Adinia Wirasti, Tara Basro, Alex Abbad, Ario Bayu and Verdi Solaiman.

Directed by Joko Anwar, the dark thriller will soon make its debut across Asia on the HBO channel on Sunday, 29 November 2015.

The eight-episode series will premiere new episodes weekly.

Also, for the first time ever, HBO Asia will be releasing selected content of “Halfworlds”, including the first episode on Facebook immediately after its HBO premiere.

“Halfworlds” is the fourth original production of HBO Asia after “Dead Mine” (2012), “Serangoon Road” (2013) and “Grace” (2014).

The series will also star Indonesian star Salvita Decorte in her breakout role, Reza Rahadian, Hannah Al-Rashid, Singaporean Nathan Hartono and 8-year-old Malaysian, Puteri Balqis who will appear as a guest star in the series.

“Halfworlds” is a dark thriller series which reveals a hidden universe in the present day of Jakarta where supernatural creatures from Indonesian mythology have lived among us for centuries.

Bront will be playing a character named Detective Gusti in the series.
