Soo Wincci wants to give hope to Malaysians with new single
Taiwan-based Malaysian singer Soo Wincci has uploaded a video where she has a message addressed to the Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
The video comes about after Wincci saw posts of the Bersih 4.0 rally which took place on 29 and 30 August.
The 29-year-old singer said that she regretted that she couldn’t join the rally and she is touched to see how everyone is fighting for their freedom and future.
She posted the video on YouTube three days ago, but according to Sin Chew Daily, the video was blocked 12 minutes after she had posted it.
She reposted it on Monday along with her new single “This is the Time”, which she worked with multi-platinum award-winning record producer David Bendeth in U.S.
Wincci also noted that by posting the video, she is ready to bear all the consequences, which include being banned from Malaysia.
Her single wasn’t supposed to be released until the end of the year, and it is supposed to be the song for the singer to break into the U.S. market, but she would like to dedicate it to those who are fighting in Malaysia because she believes that “this is the time”.
