One Ok Rock to go on Asian tour starting next year
Japanese rock band One Ok Rock is set for their Asian tour next year to celebrate their 10th anniversary as well as to promote their seventh full-length album “35xxxv”, which will soon be released in the United States this 25 September.
Formed in 2005 and officially debuted in 2007, One Ok Rock is composed of Toru (lead guitarist, backing vocals and leader), Taka (lead vocalist), Ryota (bass guitarist) and Tomoya (drums and percussion).
The band was originally a five-piece band but guitarist Alex left the group in 2009.
One Ok Rock has cited that their basic musical and style influences are American rock band Good Charlotte and Japanese punk rock band Ellegarden, but they also have other influences including Linkin Park, Simple Plan, Blink182, Green Day, Nirvana and Foo Fighters.
Their latest album “35xxxv” was initially released on 11 February 2015, but after the band has officially signed with Warner Bros. Records back in July, they decided to re-release the album containing all English tracks.
One Ok Rock will start their Asian tour beginning January next year, starting with Hong Kong.
