Malaysian-born comic Ronny Chieng joins “The Daily Show”
Ronny Chieng who is a Malaysian-born based in Australia, is the newest addition to the famous American late-night talk show “The Daily Show”.
Chieng will be joining along other new team members of the show; American actress Desi Lysdic and comedian and radio personality Roy Wood Jr.

“I actually found out last week that I got it and I’ve had to keep radio silence for a week,” said the Malaysian-Chinese comedian to The Guardian Australia.
Chieng also announced the news via his Twitter in a deadpan and sarcastic humour.

The previous host of “The Daily Show” Jon Stewart left the show back in August, letting South African comedian Trevor Noah succeed his position as the host.

Ronny Chieng was born in Johor, Malaysia and raised in Singapore and New Hampshire, U.S. He studied in the University of Melbourne in Australia and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Law.
