Malaysian production competes at Seoul Drama Awards
The Malaysia produced drama “Daddy Dearest” has been nominated for the Best Television Drama Award at the 10th Seoul International Drama Awards 2015 which will take place on 10 September 2015 at the MBC Outdoor Plaza in Seoul.
Out of 212 TV series submissions from 48 countries including from China, Taiwan, Singapore, Turkey, Angola and Korea, the Malaysian series is one of the 24 dramas selected to compete in the program categories for Serial Drama as well.
Other entries which are shortlisted into the category include; “Deng Xiaoping and China at a Turning Point” (China), “Home Away from Home” (Taiwan), “The Journey – Tumultuous Times” (Singapore), and “Yuna’s Street” (South Korea).
Meanwhile, 25 movie talents including directors, screenwriters, actors and actresses have been nominated in the individual award categories.
“Daddy Dearest” follows the story of Zhuang Zhi Yao who is the owner of a clothing factory – struggling to juggle between his family and work. The series starred Remon Lim, Jordon Voon, Yise Loo, Moo Yan Yee and Ernest Chong.
