3 Malaysian representatives in the first MasterChef Asia
The inaugural MasterChef Asia will soon premiere on Lifetime (Astro 709), 3 September 2015, and three Malaysians will be competing for the MasterChef Asia champion title.
The three representatives from Malaysia will not only be competing against each other but also cooking talents from China, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam.
The Malaysian contestants are 24-year-old banker Marcus Low, 54-year-old mother of three Jasbir Kaur, and 31-year-old Sofia Zulkifli, who is a mother to a 2-year-old girl.
Hong Kong-born chef Susur Lee, 3-Michelin-starred chef Bruno Menard, and MasterChef Australia finalist, Audra Morrice, will be the judges for the competition.
The winner of MasterChef Asia will get to publish his or her own cookbook as well as receive a USD50,000 cash prize.
Also presented to the winner are a wonderful experience in Singapore worth USD10,000, Panasonic home appliances worth USD15,000, a paid internship at one of Carlton Hotel Singapore’s restaurants and a one-week stay at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
