Video Games Live in Kuala Lumpur this August
The musical gaming event we all have been waiting for is finally back after three whole years!
It has been confirmed that Video Games Live (VGL) will return to Kuala Lumpur’s Putra Indoor Stadium, 8pm on 29 August 2015.
For those of your who didn’t know, VGL is an immersive concert event for video game fans of all ages as it features music from the greatest video games of all time.
Created by veteran video game composer Tommy Tallarico, the event will feature iconic themes and original soundtracks from both classic and latest games in video games history such as “The Legend of Zelda”, “Super Mario Bros”, “Final Fantasy”, “Mega Man”, “Pokemon” and more.
All of the songs will be played by a 29-piece orchestra, a live band, choir and an opera singer from around the world, along with exclusive video footage, synchronized lighting, special effects, solo performers, live action and other unique interactive segments to create a one-of-a-kind experience for gaming fans.
Also, there will be selected game characters that will be making stage appearances to mingle with the audience.
However, the VGL in Malaysia is slightly special as it is more than just a concert – it is also a family musical festival with a string of pre-show activities for fans and family.
The fun-filled family activities start from 1pm and will include activities like Guitar Hero competition, Cosplay red carpet, video game characters parade, photo booth, face painting and food trucks galore and others, Malaysian Foodie reports.
“2015 marks the 10th year anniversary for VGL and this is the third time it’s coming to Malaysia. VGL is rightfully a testimony to the growing popularity of video game music among gamers and non-gamers. And we are excited to be presenting this act to all Malaysians,” said Leslie Jeyam, Director of 11To11 Events who announced the news.
The prices for the tickets start from RM98 to RM588 and can be purchased through 11pass11.com/ticketing, while the entrance to the pre-show festival is free.
