Janet Jackson announces “new album, new world tour”
Janet Jackson celebrates her 49th birthday recently with exciting promises for her fans. The pop icon is finally making a comeback after several years of hiatus.
"This year, new music, new world tour, a new movement. I've been listening. Let's keep the conversation going,” the singer posted on her personal Twitter.
Jackson posted a video of her announcement, simply captioned “My conversation…”, with the hashtag #ConversationsInACafe. The hashtag could be hinting at the album’s name or one of the title songs as Jackson has been using it frequently for the past week.
The singer took a break from singing after her brother Michael Jackson’s tragic death in 2009. Subsequently, she returned to the public’s eyes when she resumed her acting career and went on her “Number Ones, Up Close and Personal” tour.
Jackson took another hiatus in 2013 and has since been working on her new album. That same year, she revealed that she had secretly married billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana back in 2012.
