Rockstar Steven Tyler working on solo country album
Legendary rocker from Aerosmith, Steven Tyler has officially signed with Big Machine Label Group, the independent American record label for country music artists which also manages Taylor Swift.
Tyler who is also known as the ‘Demon of Screamin’, is set to release his first solo country album which will be released on Dot Records later this year, Rolling Stone reports.
"There was an immediate connection with Scott and Big Machine, and Nashville seems like the perfect segue for a solo project…and Dot Records is the right fit," said Tyler in a statement.
"My earliest influences put me somewhere between the Everly Brothers and the Carter Family and this project is all about me paying homage to my Country roots. I've been working with some f***ing epic Nashville songwriters, getting my feet wet with their style and groove," said the former “American Idol” judge.
So far, there is no specific release date or title announced for the upcoming album, only that it will be released sometime later within this year.
The album will feature songs which Tyler has collaborated with writers such as Paslay, Hillary Lindsey, Cary Barlowe and the Cadillac Three's Jaren Johnston.
