Malique does not wish to revive Too Phat

Malique Ibrahim, the former member of the famous Malaysian hip-hop duo, Too Phat had recently released a statement regarding the possibility of Too Phat’s return.

On 1 February 2015 (Sunday), Malique warded off rumours of a reunion with fellow friend and rapper Joe Flizzow in a statement on his production company’s official website, Qarma Musiq.

“I would like to congratulate Joe Flizzow on his recent AJL win. As much as I am happy for him, I would also like to make it clear that I have never endorsed any part of my presence in ‘Apa Khabar’. As for now, I have no interest in reviving Too Phat or musically responding to any songs which are perceived to be related to me,” said the statement.

On 3 July 2014, many fans of the duo believed that Malique had before this tweeted something related to Joe's Anugerah Juara Lagu-winning song "Apa Khabar" which Malique denies in the same statement as well.

“Also to clarify, I do not have any social media accounts and I have never said “khabar baik, bro” though I do wish the very best to Joe Flizzow. Please be informed. Thank you for your continuous support for the truth,” Malik explained in the statement.

Joe Flizzow released “Apa Khabar” last year which is said to be dedicated to his former song partner Malique. According to MStar, Joe wrote the song because he misses his time when he was with Malique in Too Phat and wishes that the two would reunite.
