Famous sculptures from X+Q art, China, to visit Malaysia
Famous contemporary artists from China; Xiang Jing and Qu Guangci, the founder of X+Q art will be having their artworks displayed at an upcoming exhibition at the Paul Smith store in Pavilion KL from 2 March to 2 May 2015.
X+Q is an art brand known for its beautiful handmade sculptures, accessories, and design products, made by the two founders. The brand which has been around 2010 is recognised internationally with its works displayed in galleries all over the world.
With its tagline “X+Q is Art, X+Q is Gifts”, the brand’s core value is to deliver the sincere wish of happiness, love and care through gift.
Its exquisitely unique sculptures with bright colours tell interesting stories which connect the elements of Chinese contemporary art to human’s emotions and souls.
There will be two different collections of sculptures present at the exhibition:-
Xiang Jing's “I Have Seen Happiness” series which celebrates youth and optimism with her vibrant-coloured rabbit sculptures that comes in bright shades of red, blue, yellow and green. The collection was inspired by Paul’s interests for rabbits.
Qu Gianci’s “The Angelest Qian” series is a fusion between Eastern and Western elements which can be seen through his series of winged oriental angels aimed to instill brightness and positivity through art.
