Celebrities offer condolences to MH17 victims’ families

The mystery of MH370, the MAS airplane that went missing en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing last March, is still fresh in everyone’s mind.

Unfortunately, now another MAS airplane has succumbed to a tragic end.

MH17 was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it was believed to have been gunned down and crashed in Ukraine, near the Russian border.

According to various local and international reports, the crash has taken the lives of all 280 passengers and 15 flight crew.

MAS released a statement confirming that they received an alert from Ukrainian ATC, informing them of the loss of contact with MH17 at 2.15pm, 30 kilometers from Tamak, approximately 50 kilometers from the Russia-Ukraine border.

The doomed flight took off from Amsterdam at 12.15pm (Amsterdam time), Thursday, and was scheduled to arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on 6.10am (Malaysian time) on the next day.

Malaysians are understandably devastated by the shocking news. Some have taken online to offer their condolences through social media.

Local and international celebrities are likewise offering their condolences to the grieving families.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all MH17 passengers and crew, their families and their loved ones.
