Bazaars you should check out in and around KL

For us Malaysian, regular shopping mall outlets just don't cut it for us anymore. We love more of the things that could possibly be cheaper, harder to find, one of a kind gems at pop-up stalls and bazaars in and around Kuala Lumpur.

We never know what we're going to find at weekend bazaars, but at least with this feature, we can know where to find our next hidden treasure.

I Love Bazaar

Where: Lower Ground floor at eCurve, Mutiara Damansara.

When: Every Saturday and Sunday.

I Love Bazaar pops up a handful of stalls every weekend, notably selling things like vintage clothes, cheap but cute accessories and handmade items. Their stalls also pop up at different places for different occasions, like the upcoming Easter Bazaar at Avenue K.

Amcorp's Vintage Flea Market

Where: Amcorp Mall, Petaling Jaya.

When: Every Saturday and Sunday.

Indoor stalls that set up and sell vintage beauties every weekend at Amcorp Mall have been here since 1997, and you can never fail to find something utterly fantastic. Granted, you'll probably sneeze a little here and there because of the old dust smell but the products, with the friendly faces will make you feel like you travelled back in time for a little while.

Neue Artisans 3.0

When: 12 April 2014, 12pm to 6pm.

Where: Annexe Gallery, Central Market, Kuala Lumpur.

Annexe Gallery in Kuala Lumpur usually has independent pop up markets with cool and hip vibes, like the recently passed Alternative Book Fest and the Art for Grabs, for the upcoming pop up market however, the Neue Artisans Design Market and Showcase offers local products and design, which will be a unique shopping experience!

Pop Up Heaven Bazaar

Where: Plaza Damas, Petaling Jaya.

When: Every beginning weekend of the month.

Along with an adorable logo, the pop up bazaar that only blossoms every start of the month sells pretty unique stuff like hand made stools of your favourite brand logos, fresh flowers and even chicken tacos!

Fuyoh Art Bazaar

Where: Publika Dutamas.

When: Every last Sunday of the month.

If you want more handmade arts and crafts that you can only find in one place, this is the place to be. Stalls here are unique that come in big art galleries to small stalls selling cute kitschy items like little soaps and red velvet cupcakes. There is also often busker music to make you smile as you walk around.
