The Best of Grammys 2014: Winners and Performances
Well what d'ya know? Pop rap duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis who gained an immense amount of attention with "Thrift Shop" and "Same Love" were big winners of the night, winning 4 Grammys, including Best New Artist, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance, beating out rap heavyweights like Jay Z and Kanye West.
But the biggest winners on the night, French 'robots' Daft Punk scooped up Grammy awards for best Dance/Electronica Album, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Album of the Year and Record of the Year.
Daft Punk's performance, along with Pharrell Williams, Nile Rogers and the great Stevie Wonder got the whole arena of celebrities grooving.
Bright young star, Lorde won herself Grammy awards for Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year for her song "Royals".
Even she was a little surprised that her name was called out.
But the winners at the Grammys would be boring to watch without the other artists and nominee's performances.
P!nk wowed us with her performance singing along to her acrobatics, taking inspiration from "Cirque Du Soleil".
Madonna showed up in Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' teary-eyed performance wearing something like an evil cowboy outfit from "Django Unchained".
Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong and country singer Miranda Lambert joined forces to tribute a song for the Everly Brothers.
And Queens of the Stone Age, Nine inch Nails, Lindsay Buckingham and Dave Grohl ended the show with a heart thumping combination of their rock and roll abilities.
The Grammys in 2014 was definitely a night to remember with all the great collaborations of musicians that you never would have even thought of joining and playing together for the night, and the great winners that would bring a Gramophone (or a few) home.
Of course, the night itself would also never be complete without a certain nominee who is known the world over as someone who loves to put her real emotions on her sleeve.
